Let me show you the Acetate Technique
There’s a fun new Acetate Technique that is taking the Paper Crafting world by storm! It’s one that I have never seen before, and one that has artwork popping up like crazy over on my social media platforms! While I’m not 100% sure of its official name, I am calling it the Acetate Technique… at least for now.
At first glance, it may look like I adhered tiny little pieces of paper to the front of my card, but I didn’t. could you imagine just how long and tedious of process that would be? Eek! But that’s the look of what this Acetate Technique brings to the table – EASE! So let’s talk about a few things you’ll need on hand.
The INGREDIENTS:
- Several different patterns of Paper.
For this project I used 6 different patterns from the Hey Handsome Paper Pack, plus a few of the Zip Strips. Everything was cut to measure .5″ in height by 12″ in length. - I also used the Stamp Set featured in the Hey Handsome Cardmaking Workshop Kit – a must have!
- And of course a sheet of Close To My Heart Acetate which we will cut up into 3″ x 12″ strips.
- I also used a few pieces of Cardstock and some Embellishments.
Now, let’s take a look at how it all comes together to make a stunningly spectacular card!
The RECIPE:
Isn’t this technique super easy?! I have a new reason to keep all of my little bits of cut-up paper and Zip Strips now… not like I wasn’t already doing this anyways!
