Beauty and the Beast Mode
Beauty and the Beast Mode makes this my Memory Monday layout of the week!
My daughter Alyssa is an AMAZING girl. A few weeks ago I featured her in a blog post using the same 3 pictures you see above. You can read all about her under the blog post: My Baby Gots Goals
I decided I needed to scrapbook her awesome accomplishment. I want her to be able to look at these pictures and always remember the importance of having goals.
To jump-start my creativity, I turned to the Close To My Heart Reflections How-to Book for inspiration. I already knew that I wanted my title to be: Beauty (Alyssa) and the Beast Mode (CrossFit). It was just a bonus that the title ended up being a “play on words” of a popular Disney Movie. 😉
I used three different paper packets to create this layout after asking Alyssa to choose her favorite color – Teal. I translated that into Close To My Heart colors and she narrowed it down from there choosing Lagoon over Juniper. I needed a little dimension so I added in some Glacier CS. I still felt that the layout was a little unbalanced, though, so I decided to add in a little bit of Peacock CS. I quickly fell in love with the harmony of these three colors! However, my true find was discovering how well the Florence Complements accented this layout. SCORE! I literally sat on this layout for several days before the Complements unlocked my creative block and that’s when everything just started taking shape! Gotta love Chipboard Flowers!
