When Costumes Go Wrong | Scrapbook Layout

Every great costume tells a story… but not every story ends up on Main Street!

Double-page scrapbook layout featuring photos of a Disney couple gone wrong with Tweedle-inspired hats.
The laughter that followed this Tweedle disaster… unforgettable and totally scrapbook worthy!

The HEART:

This week’s layout celebrates the moment Rafe and I almost went to Disneyland’s Halloween Party dressed as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Let’s just say—when the costumes arrived, the “family-friendly” factor was nowhere to be found. One quick try-on later with lots of laughs and we both knew these outfits were staying home. Sometimes the best memories come from what didn’t make it out the door!

The SPREAD:

I designed this double-page layout to capture the laughter behind the mishap.
Bright oranges, blacks, and yellows from my paper stash kept the vibe playful, while Disney die-cuts tied everything together. The grid background and offset photo mats mimic the whimsy of a cartoon gone slightly off-script—perfect for this costume caper.

The RECIPE:

Club members receive the sketch, cutting guide, my Cricut links, and creative prompts each week to help turn everyday memories into meaningful pages—using their own stash of supplies! Want to scrapbook right alongside us? Join the Sketch & Savor Club to start savoring your stories today.

The GLAZE:

Sometimes the best stories aren’t polished or picture-perfect—they’re the ones that make us laugh until we cry. Whether your costume went off without a hitch or ended up in the “never again” pile, document it anyway. These are the moments that keep our albums real and relatable… and sometimes totally hilarious!

Until next time, remember: every ‘oops’ deserves its own scrapbook page. 😉
