Disasters can make us Stronger Together

Close To My Heart has prepared a stamp set designed specifically to benefit those affected by disasters, such as the recent hurricanes in the United States and the wildfires throughout the US and Canada. The stamp set is titled Stronger Together.  It features a variety of sentiments that can be used for comfort, encouragement, and more.

This C-size set is available for purchase on my Close To My Heart Website using item number C1716. In order to be able to support multiple needs, we have determined that proceeds from the sale of this set will be donated to the Red Cross, which provides relief efforts to multiple disasters, and which will allocate the funds to where they are needed most.

We believe in the good that comes when we work together as a community. As the stamp set name states, we truly are stronger together. Let’s come together and strengthen those who need some extra help in the wake of devastation.

The Disasters in my neck of the woods…

While I have many friends experiencing devastation in Texas and Florida, here in the Pacific Northwest we are dealing with the massive wild fires burning out of control and devastating communities.  We’ve had an amazingly hot summer and, unfortunately, the wild fires burning were sparked quickly by a single firework.

The fires are burning approximately an hour east of me.  We’ve experienced falling ash, hazy skies, bad air quality and orange suns.  Thankfully, my family and I haven’t been in any immediate danger.

Many evacuations have happened across the 30,000+ acres.  I am so saddened by the loss that people are experiencing.  I am thankful for all of the good-neighbor stories I am hearing, however.  People helping and comforting one another as we all become stronger together.
