Family in Bloom – Sunflowers, Sunshine & Sweet Memories

This week’s Family in Bloom layout captures the warmth of a late summer day surrounded by golden petals and the people who make my heart happiest. With earthy woodgrain, bursts of sunny yellow, and layers of texture, this 2-page spread feels just as joyful as the memories it holds.

Two-page Sunflower-themed Scrapbook Layout titled “Family in Bloom,” featuring woodgrain background, sunflowers, and 6 photos.
Golden petals, sunny smiles, and a heart full of family memories.

Lee Farms in Tualatin, OR was the perfect backdrop for a golden afternoon filled with laughter, sunshine, and blooms as far as the eye could see. While we didn’t manage to snap a photo of the whole crew together, I loved soaking in the simple joy of having my girls together in such a beautiful place.

I especially loved watching my youngest daughter with her husband and little one. They’ve built such a sweet little family together — and I can’t help but hope they’ll add a few more blooms to it in the years ahead.

To bring this rustic sunflower layout to life, I mixed a few Stampin’ Up! favorites with patterned papers from my stash. The warm tones of Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, and Pecan Pie cardstock created the perfect foundation, while touches of Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla added depth and softness. The combination of rich earth tones and golden accents gives the whole spread that sun-kissed, late-summer feel.

Days like this remind me why I scrapbook — to hold onto the moments that matter most, from big family gatherings to the small, sweet interactions that make my heart melt. This page will always take me back to that sunflower field and the joy of watching my family, quite literally, bloom.
