Just thought I’d wish my Dad a very Happy Birthday TODAY! It’s his 74th – Yay!
I started this Story by Stacy Book for my Dad a few months ago with the hopes of giving it to him for Father’s Day. Oopsie! I didn’t quite get it finished in time.
Then, shortly after Father’s Day my Dad was unexpectedly diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). He had gone to the Doctor thinking something was going on with his heart, but instead, received this devastating news. We were all in shock! But, that’s when it became even more important to me to get this book finished in time for his birthday.
With only a little bit of stamping and a whole lot of memories, here is the gift I shared with him…
Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you!
**Update:** I was a coward when it came to giving this book to my dad. It’s hard for me to see my daddy cry. I spent the entire day with my dad on his birthday but as I was going out the door I handed him a bright and cheery gift bag with his book inside and high tailed it out of there. My mom told me later that both of them cried, which really didn’t surprise me because I cried all the way through writing this book, too.
