More with City Sidewalks

Welcome to the last day of 2016.  As I promised you last week, I’m going to show you a few ideas of what to do with the digital Cricut cartridge “City Sidewalks” that go beyond its Christmas theme.

For each card, I started with a base overlay: two are 4.25 x 5.5; the other two are 4 x 5.25.  Then I did a little finagling with Design Space.  I deleted everything but the insides of the snowflake and turned them into flowers in three different sizes, using the berries from the holly leaf image as centers; the wreath was turned into a doughnut; and I deleted top layers with wording to create a plain banner and shaped panels.  Here’s a link to the Design Space file.

I used the stamp set “Finding the Words” on all the cards, adding the “SWEET” from the companion stamps that come with the Artistry Cricut Cartridge for the doughnut card.

The thing about the City Sidewalks cartridge that’s different from almost every other one is its lack of symmetry…which is really fun.  It’s a great cartridge for scrapbooking those Christmas memories; it’s also a great cartridge for other occasions by using different colors and just a little ingenuity.  But get it quick…it’s gone tomorrow!!

Until next time,

Becca
