CTMH Mickey Mouse Anniversary Card
I made a CTMH Mickey Mouse Anniversary Card… Surprised at all? lol
Yeah, I didn’t think so. 😉 But here’s why I did it….
6 years ago yesterday (August 3rd, 2010) was the day that Mickey Mouse and Close To My Heart introduced me to my future husband. 8:) <—smiley face with Mickey-Ears on.
It was the summer of 2010. I had just pushed the submit button on my registration for the 2011 CTMH Convention to Disneyland – Yay! But being a pretty carefree, lazy morning (even though I’m pretty sure I probably had better things to do), I started perusing profiles on a popular dating website. Kind’ve embarrassing to admit, really, but whatever. lol
Anyways, while I was looking around I came across a rather interesting profile that belonged to a pretty handsome man. The guy seemed down to earth (as much as you can in text) and he mentioned how much he loved Disneyland. …Wait what?! ME TOO! <3
Being that I had just registered for Convention, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and drop him an email to introduce myself. I made it a point to mention that I loved Disney and that I had just booked my upcoming trip to Disney for 2011! …That’s when the the “Cricut’s” started chirping. …Well, it’s probably spelled more like c-r-i-c-k-e-t-s but since I’m a paper-crafter… you get the jist. 😉
Anyways, several hours later he responded to my email and we started communicating back and forth… a lot! I fact, I think these may be the profile pictures we used…
In a few days we will celebrate 6 years of actually dating one another – crazy! Maybe I’ll even take the time to tell you a little bit more about how that day went down. lol I’m pretty sure I broke all the “blind date” rules in the book. Yikes! lol
CTMH Mickey Mouse Anniversary Card papers:
These are the papers I used to create my Anniversary card. I am in love love love with these Magical papers!
If you have Disney memories you would like to scrapbook, please be sure to stock up by August 31st, 2016. On September 1st, 2016 these Close To My Heart Magical papers will, sadly, retire. Get yours before they’re gone.
