My Monkey Boy Layout

Monkey Boy‘ is a fun little name that Rafe has lovingly given to our grandson because of his rambunctious personality. So when I paired this cute nickname with these adorable Sweet Safari Papers, Rafe went bananas – in a good way!

My Monkey Boy Scrapbooking Layout

Can you believe I made this layout out of a Cardmaking Kit? Crazy right? It’s the Sweet Safari Cardmaking Kit and, as of February 20th 2024, it’s still available while supplies last! …I really should try my hand at using Card Kits more often for scrapbooking because I really love how it turned out.

After choosing the papers I wanted to work with this week, I had one goal in mind… Try to stay as close to the Kit Contents as much as possible. So with that said, the only other Cardstock pieces I added were Mocha for the title and a little extra White Daisy for the monkey’s.

For some dimension, I heavily sanded the Lagoon Cardstock strip that sits under the title. I also used Foam Tape to pop up the little Espresso Inked Monkey’s and all of the photos. A Zip Strip was added toward the top of the page, and I finished everything off with Silver Glitter Gems and inked embellishments. So cute!

For the actual title I used a retired Alphabet Thin Cut set that I had purchased from Close To My Heart several years ago. I could’ve easily used my Cricut, but for whatever reason, I decided to go this route instead.
