52 Paper Crafting Organization Tips – Week 26

Welcome to Week #26 of my 52 Paper Crafting Organization Tips and StampinBuds Studio tour. Did you miss last week’s topic? I talked about my Cricut Mat & Hooks, so be sure to check that out.

Can you believe that we are exactly half way through this weekly series? Me either, but I’m excited to get to this week’s topic…

Week 26: Storage Drawers!

Storage Drawers

I’m not going to lie. I’ve had these Storage Drawers for EONS! I originally purchased them at the Container Store back in the mid 2000’s but decided to do a search on Amazon to see if I could find them for you… Here’s the Link.

So these drawers have served MANY purposes over the years. Originally I started buying them so that I could store a color of Close To My Heart Cardstock per drawer. But after buying 6 stacks I began rethinking that purpose.

Today, I am about half way organized with them. Meaning half of the drawers I have are filled with retired Close To My Heart and projects. But my goal is to clean them out and use them for other things such as ongoing projects.

In the photo (above) you can see that I have a box for each of my three girls – Stephanie, Becca and Alyssa. The things that I’m currently storing in them are: some papers that I think I want to use in their books, coordinating embellishments, photos, etc.

I also have a box for some Disneyland Album stuff like maps, photos, and embellishments that I’ve collected over the years.

My Zoe book box is storing the pieces to a mini album that I started a couple of years ago for some friends of ours. I really need to revisit this box and finally get that thing completed. It’s just so hard when Close To My Heart releases new things practically every month – SQUIRREL!

In the bottom box I’m storing everything I need for watercoloring. I don’t watercolor that often so I just prefer to keep it all in one place until the mood strikes me.

I have 5 other Storage Drawer units to go through – that’s 25 total drawers! These units fit perfectly under my big, u-shaped desk. Luckily some of the drawers are already complete with storage items such as Flip Flaps, Oversized Chipboard Alphas, retired CTMH Embellishments that I someday hope to use, etc.

Do you currently have drawers like these? I’d love to know some of the things you’re storing in them!
