52 Paper Crafting Organization Tips – Week 43

Welcome to Week #43 of my 52 Paper Crafting Organization Tips and StampinBuds Studio tour. Did you miss last week’s topic? I talked about Organizing by Color! Be sure to check it out.

This week I thought I’d show you how I organize my Handmade Cards!

Week 43: Card Organization

Tower Cart for Card Organization

While there are many different ways to go about handmade Card Organization, I’m here to show you what works for me in my studio.

I have a Tower Cart that is fairly similar to the Tower Cart, shown left. However, the drawers in mine are a little bit wider and the cart has wheels. No biggie, though, because this slimmer cart is the one I would purchase if I was on the hunt for a new one.

My current cart always me to organize my cards in a horizontal fashion. Judging by the size of the drawers of this newer cart I’d say storage would need to be vertical, but not a big deal either. It’s all about organization and making things look neat and tidy, right?

In my top drawer I store Thank You Cards. My second drawer holds Birthday Cards. The third drawer has my Christmas Cards. Then the bottom drawer holds other miscellaneous cards. I would suggest just simply cutting a piece of White Daisy CS to fit the drawers, writing the theme name along the top with a sharpie and calling it good. Easy Peasy!

This system works really well for me because I tend to cycle through cards FAST because of my Close To My Heart business. What have you found works best for you? I’d love to have you leave your thoughts in the comment section below!
