This week I want to revisit Paper Scraps with…

Week 46: Scrap Bins

Scrap Bin for Paper

Over the course of 52 weeks I’ve shared several ways for storing Paper Scraps:

So today I want to simply talk about one more way to store scraps of paper… Scrap Bins.

Pictured right is a clear box that I purchased at Costco for random storage of items. If I remember correctly, these boxes come in a 3 or 4 pack. They are about 10″ in depth, if that helps. I actually never intended one of these boxes to be in my Craft Studio, but one day it just showed up so I put it to good use.

As I’m creating projects I accumulate lots of scraps. I could be more mindful about how I cut my paper as to save bigger chunks, but that’s really not my style. So, I keep this box under my desk right at my feet so that any scraps that I know I’m done using can hit this bin.

From this box I will either sort them into the different categories listed above – OR – my newest idea is to start offering Scrap Bin sessions! More details will be arriving in 2023!

Do you have any additional ways to share your Paper Scraps? I’d love to know so be sure to share your thoughts with me!
