Scrapbooking an “OOPS” Moment

The funny thing about creating a scrapbook layout from an everyday moment is that these are often the ones we almost skip. Not the big, picture-perfect ones, but the ones that feel just a little off. The ones that didn’t go quite how we planned or didn’t seem like much at the time.

Maybe something didn’t come together the way you expected. Maybe you didn’t even notice it until later. Maybe it felt like one of those “well… that happened” kind of moments… and then somehow, that’s the one that turns into the story you can’t stop telling.

Here’s how this one came together…

This one still makes me giggle.

By the time we made it to Mimi’s house, everything looked just fine. You’d never know anything was off… which is honestly what makes it so funny.

But earlier? That’s a whole different story.

Want the full story (and the layout to go with it)?

Every Saturday inside Sketch & Savor you’ll receive:

  • A simple scrapbook layout (with measurements done for you)
  • A story prompt that actually helps you write
  • Guidance so you don’t overthink the page

Because the truth is… it’s not the big, perfect moments that tell your story.
It’s the ones you almost missed. The ones that felt ordinary. The ones that make you smile later.
And those are the ones worth keeping.
