The Great Outdoors Scrapbook Layout

Back in June of 2023, Rafe and I took a road trip with our friends John and Lori up to Canada for a relaxing getaway. We stayed at a cozy bed and breakfast owned by my long-time friend Louise, who I met years ago through Close To My Heart. It was the first time Louise met John and Lori, and we made the most of every moment — hiking through Wells Gray National Park, riding jet boats on the lake, spotting wildlife (yes, that’s a real bear!), and enjoying plenty of laughs, scenic views, a speeding ticket, and great food. It was one of those perfectly unscripted memory-making trips.

This 2-page layout captures all the outdoor vibes with a palette of natural greens, deep woodsy browns, and a splash of bold navy skies. I used the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper ( plus it’s coordinating sticker sheet), accented with a few hand-cut Cricut shapes like that adorable cabin, layered pine trees, and sunny outdoor title cluster. There’s room for four featured photos — and a little surprise: I snuck in a fifth photo using a flip flap, along with a hidden journaling spot. It’s a clean but detailed design, ideal for scenic shots, group pics, or rugged travel stories.
