Scrapbooking the joyfulness of January

In just one week we will be sliding into another New Year and with it brings a desire to scrapbook the joyfulness of January. Want to join me?

January Scrapbooking Layout

Do you find yourself taking less of the important pictures in life because you’re trying to live more in the moment? It seems that this is what I’ve been doing lately. For example, when our family gathered recently to decorate Christmas Cookies I think I only took 1 photo and it was of a basket of completed cookies. Epic fail! What I REALLY wanted to capture was the fun of the day. At least my husband Rafe came through and saved the day by taking around 5 pictures. OY! lol

So with all of this in mind I decided to challenge myself in the upcoming year. My goal is to capture what I love about January on a single layout. It doesn’t matter if it’s from 2024 or 1994, just documenting what I love about January and the months ahead is something that feels right.

The PAPERS:

I once again chose to use the beautiful papers from Close To My Heart’s A Gnome for All Seasons – Winter Collection. I just can’t get enough of this beautiful paper because it works so wonderful for documenting the current season!

The PROCESS:

As mentioned above, I want to document January and the months moving forward for an entire year. I struggled with the thought of using the adorable Gnome Thin Cut on a layout very similar to the one I created a couple of weeks ago (called Literally Freezing), but I did it anyways. Since I’m still waiting for the snow to fall around here I figured I could gift the layout to one of my girls’ albums. I’m thinking my youngest daughter Alyssa because I know she would love to make snow angels with her finance and dog Chance. Then that leaves me to have a wonderful January filled layout of memories for my very own scrapbook… and I can’t wait to get started on the hunt for new and old January photos!

The PROJECT:

I have some PRE-CUT KITS available, while supplies last!

Moving forward I will be posting a new Layout with optional Project Sketch Instructions every Tuesday. I will also be posting my Cardmaking Project Sketch Instructions every Friday! There’s so much goodness coming in 2024, and I can’t wait to share all of my crazy ideas with you. <3

As a reminder, the Gnomes for Winter Collection is available through December 31st, 2023 only
or while supplies last on my CTMH Website.
