Scrapbooking the love of February

February – the LOOOVE month is here! We’re talking the month of Valentine’s and wedding proposals, chocolates, roses, and everything mooshy-gooshy!

February Scrapbooking Layout

The PAPERS:

I couldn’t wait to use the Love Notes Paper from Close To My Heart on this month’s layout because it truly fits every bit of the description I mentioned above, including the mooshy-gooshy. Lots of hearts with a little bit of floral and flair. Absolutely adorable!

The PROCESS:

When I first started creating this months layout I knew that I would showcase a picture of my Mom and youngest daughter Alyssa, because they both have birthday’s in February. Beyond that I was thinking that I would search through my iPhone and grab photos from February’s past. But since I didn’t really think that showing a photo of me getting my hair done was too exciting I decided to widen my vision just a bit. So I turned to celebrating the LOVE between couples in our family and I’m much happier with the result.

I also decided to approach this layout like a quilt, to give it a ‘homey’ feel. So I cut several pieces of patterned paper into small squares and even considered stitching on my pages. In the end I opted to just use a journal pen to draw some subtle lines across the background and I feel like it ended up being the better choice.

The PROJECT:

I have made some February EZ-CUT KITS available, while supplies last!

I also have a few January Kits still available and 10 more months to cover still ahead. I can’t wait to create!
