Sketch & Savor No. 014 | Memory-made Magic Scrapbook Layout

This week’s layout, Memory-Made Magic, centers on the idea that our memories leave visible marks over time. Some celebrate growth. Some carry the weight of change. And others simply remind us how far we’ve come. This spread brings those moments together into one meaningful, story-filled page.

In this season of life, I’m watching everything grow in the sweetest ways. My babies are having babies, and suddenly traditions feel deeper than they ever did before. One of my favorite ways to mark each year is with an ornament that reflects my grandbaby’s little personality. Tiny interests, tiny quirks, tiny milestones all captured in something small enough to hang on a tree, yet meaningful enough to carry an entire year of memories. This layout is my way of preserving that kind of quiet magic.

For this layout, I leaned into a classic holiday palette while balancing patterns to keep the page festive without overwhelming the photos. The ornaments guide the eye across the spread and echo the story being told, while the stitched details and layered embellishments add just enough texture and charm. The clean photo placement keeps the focus where it belongs on the memories while the playful elements bring the magic of the season to life.

If you enjoy layouts that help you tell real stories without overthinking every detail, Sketch & Savor was created for you. Each week, I share a brand new sketch designed to help you actually finish pages with the supplies you already own. You get the structure, the creative nudge, and the momentum to keep your albums moving forward one meaningful layout at a time.

Your photos. Your papers. My sketch. Your story. 💕
