Sketch & Savor No. 013 | Sweet Sanity Scrapbook Layout
This week’s layout is called Sweet Sanity and it’s that tiny pocket of peace you cling to when life is loud, busy, and a little ridiculous. For me, it usually shows up in the form of a warm drink, a cute grandbaby, or a moment that makes me laugh instead of lose my mind. This layout pulls all of that together in one simple, cozy spread.

The photos on this page crack me up every time I look at them. That wide-eyed stare at the holiday cup? Pure gold. It’s the kind of everyday moment I never think to scrapbook until I realize it’s these little snapshots that tell the best stories. No staged photos. No matching outfits. Just real life and real expressions that deserve a spot in the album.
Surprisingly this layout came together fast because I kept the focus on color and feeling. Christmas reds, soft greens, a splash of peppermint, and a playful little mug illustration to anchor the story. Once the photos were in place, everything else fell into line from simple patterns to layered strips, and a title that says exactly what the moment feels like. Nothing complicated. Just intentional choices that make the photos shine.
