Sketch & Savor No. 015 | December Glow Scrapbook Layout

December has a way of glowing differently. It’s not just the lights or the decorations, it’s the way small moments start to stack up and quietly become traditions. This week’s Sketch & Savor layout, December Glow, is all about capturing those simple, twinkly memories that make the season feel like ours.

For the last couple of years, I’ve bundled up and headed to PIR to see the Christmas lights with Rafe, Courtney, and Oliver. It wasn’t something we planned as a “tradition” at first. It just… happened. And now, without even realizing it, it’s become one of those December things we look forward to every year. Driving through a parade of lights, pointing out favorites, and snapping photos in the cold feels ordinary and special at the same time. That’s the kind of story I never want to lose to the cloud.

This sketch was designed to feel cozy, balanced, and glow-forward, making it perfect for holiday photos. There’s space to let the photos shine, room for a short story, and flexibility to use whatever winter or Christmas paper you already have on hand. Whether your photos are bright and colorful or soft and neutral, the layout supports them instead of competing with them. Simple structure. Visual warmth. Story-friendly by design.

If you love documenting the moments that are becoming traditions, or want a simpler way to actually finish your December pages, Sketch & Savor is for you. Each week, you’ll get a fresh sketch, cutting guides, and a story prompt that helps you turn your photos into meaningful layouts without overthinking it. No guilt. No perfection. Just steady progress and stories that matter.

Your photos. Your papers. My sketch. Your story. 💕
