It’s a Small World – Disney Scrapbook Layout

There’s just something about It’s a Small World that makes me smile. Maybe it’s the bold, geometric façade, maybe it’s the ten minutes of glorious air conditioning, or maybe it’s the song that will happily take up residence in my brain for the rest of the day. Whatever it is, this attraction has earned its spot in my Disney scrapbook — quirks, nostalgia, and all.

Two-page Disney scrapbook layout of It’s a Small World, featuring bright patterned papers, whimsical tower and flag Cricut cuts, and photos of the attraction’s façade, ride scenes, and happy park moments.
Whimsical towers, bright colors, and a boatload of memories — a nod to a classic Disney ride.

For me, It’s a Small World has always been about more than just a boat ride. The giant façade alone is breathtaking — especially when the clock tower comes alive with its cheerful parade of characters. At night, the attraction is even more magical, glowing with thousands of twinkling lights. One of my favorite memories was during my very first trip with Rafe, when we stood in front of the attraction at Christmas and it began to “snow.” It felt like the perfect Disney moment — equal parts unexpected and unforgettable. Even though the ride itself is simple and maybe a little dated, there’s a whimsical charm that makes it worth sailing through at least once each trip.

For this layout, I paired my trusty Stampin’ Up! cardstock with patterned paper from my stash to capture the vibrant, playful feel of the ride. Cricut cuts helped me bring the towers and flags to life, while a sprinkle of flowers added a pop of whimsy. This combo really lets the photos — from nighttime lights to smiling ride selfies — shine as the stars of the spread.

At the end of the day, It’s a Small World may not be the flashiest attraction, but it’s packed with nostalgia, charm, and memories that keep me coming back. Whether it’s cooling down, laughing at an inside joke, or standing under the Christmas “snow,” this ride always earns a spot in my album — and my heart.

One ride, one song, and a whole world of scrapbook magic. 🌍✨
