Sugar Rush Plus…
Hey there, Stampin’ Buds! It’s Becca with my Sous Chef Saturday post. Two weeks ago, I featured the Sugar Rush Cardmaking stamps with their coordinating Thin Cuts. Today I’m going back to that set but adding a little somethin’ somethin’.
To dress up the donut on this card, I started by sponging Saddle ink over the Cashmere paper cut donut, putting a little more at the edge than in the center. I cut the “glaze” out of the striped vellum paper in the Uptown Fundamentals paper pack. I colored on the back side with the Tender Pink ShinHan marker before gluing it to the donut with Liquid Glass. (The color was too intense, so I removed some with a cotton ball wetted with Rubbing Alcohol.) I used more Liquid Glass over the top and, before it dried, added tiny snips of white paper to create sprinkles.
With this card, I used the largest flower from the Here for You WYW (featured last week) to create a swirl of white “frosting” over the clear “glaze.” I did the everything the same as above except I didn’t color the back of the vellum, and I embossed the swirl with white powder before adding Liquid Glass over the top.
Next week, I’ll be combining Sugar Rush Cardmaking with the Here for You WYW again. I’m positively IN LOVE with these two sets.
Until next time,
Becca
