Your Life Matters. Tell It in a Way You Will Be Glad You Did.

This project grew out of something many of us know deep down. If we do not intentionally record our story, the details that matter most can fade with time. Photos show what happened, but stories reveal why it mattered. That is what This Is My Story is designed to help you preserve.

This Is My Story is a weekly, reflection driven story album that helps you capture who you are and how you see the world. Each page uses real memories, moments, and everyday details as a starting point, then invites you to reflect on what they meant to you. The focus is meaning, not perfection. There is no pressure to start at the beginning or keep up with every prompt.

This is not a scrapbook album you complete once and put away. It is an ongoing invitation to record your voice, your perspective, and the parts of your story your people may one day want to know most.

What This Is My Story Really Is

This Is My Story is a reflection driven story album. Each page begins with a real memory, person, place, or everyday detail from your life, not to document everything that happened, but to capture what it meant to you.

Week by week, you will use simple prompts to turn moments, opinions, favorites, and experiences into meaningful pages that reveal your voice, perspective, and values. This project is not about telling your life story in order or capturing every milestone.

It is about preserving the parts of your story your people may one day wish you could hear again. The everyday details. The beliefs you carried. The way you saw the world.

How It Works

This Is My Story is delivered weekly by email and begins with a title page (shown below) that marks the start of your story. Each week offers a thoughtful prompt and light structure, giving you space to reflect and create at your own pace. The samples below show just one way these stories can come to life.

Your reflections can be written, captured creatively, recorded as audio, or documented in whatever way feels right to you. There is no perfect way to do this. What matters is that you show up honestly and do it your way.

The Title Page: Permission to Begin

A 1-page scrapbook page featuring floral paper and embellishments.

This first page is intentionally simple.
There is no journaling yet and no heavy questions to answer.

Just a photo and a quiet declaration that says,
This is my story, and it matters enough to begin.

One Prompt. Two Very Different Stories.

Using the same weekly prompt, this title page was created for my husband so that he can have an album to someday pass down to his kids.

And that is exactly the point.
Same structure. Same guidance. Completely different result.

Who It Is For

This Is My Story is for anyone who wants to:

  • Preserve their own voice and memories for future generations
  • Reflect on what has shaped their journey
  • Create meaningful pages that are personal and true
  • Capture the things that matter without needing to be perfect

Whether you share your reflections in your scrapbook albums, in journals, or through creative albums, this practice gives you thoughtful prompts that help you focus, reflect, and record.

Why This Matters

Your story matters not because it is perfect, but because it is yours. The stories we leave behind help family and loved ones understand who we were, what we cared about, and what made our life meaningful.

This Is My Story gives you the permission and the structure to begin, not to finish everything at once. It gives you room to show up imperfectly, thoughtfully, and honestly.

What You Can Expect

When you join This Is My Story:

  • You receive a weekly prompt that invites reflection, memory, or creative response
  • You are encouraged to capture what feels most meaningful to you
  • You can create in the way that fits your life and routine
  • You can revisit prompts anytime as your perspective evolves

Everyone’s story is different, and each person’s expression of it will be unique, and that is the point.
