Wedding Wishes
Last Saturday, Shannon and Rafe got married. They are off on their honeymoon, so I thought that for Sous Chef Saturday I’d show you the card I made for them. I used the Flower Market and Artbooking cartridges. If you own them and use the Design Space software, here’s the cutting file.
I got rid of a few of the leaves from the file shown. The scalloped border is the only thing I used from Artbooking, and I altered it with the “Hide Contour” feature to fill in all but the edge.
I assembled all the layers of the flowers on top of the All-Purpose Mat. Let me tell you something, I lived a long time without that mat, and I can’t for the life of me tell you why I waited so long. It’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. After layering everything together, I just wiped off the mat. No muss, no fuss.
The finishing touches were stamping the sentiment from one of the coordinating Flower Market stamp set and adding the white twine bow with Liquid Glass.
Now, I have to be honest here, after putting this card together and taking the photograph, I went to stuff it in the envelope and discovered that my card base was a quarter of an inch too wide. I had to trim it down after everything was assembled.
I thought this turned out beautifully. I hope Rafe and Shannon like it when they get home from their honeymoon.
Until next time,
Becca

Congratulations, Shannon and Rafe! Gorgeous card, Becca! Thanks for sharing the cutting file.
