You had me at Sunset | Layout
I’m pretty sure that if Renée Zellweger said “You had me at Sunset” to Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire it just wouldn’t have been as memorable. But creating a scrapbooking layout that uses a similar-ish title? Yeahhh it works much, MUCH better!
But let’s not jump ahead of things. “You had me at Hello” comes waaay after the line “Show me the Money” in the movie. Just like my scrapbooking Title comes waaay after the actual creative process I took to get my layout created. So let’s start back at the beginning…
As a Close To My Heart Maker I get first glance/access to the newest Paper Collections. So it was a no-brainer when the Cape Cod Paper & Stickers Pack screamed BEACH to me. But with anchors and sea horses, picket fences and conch shells… it’s not really what I see when I head to our local WA/OR beaches. However, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t seen these things while on vacation!
…And speaking of vacations? When Rafe and I go on vacation we always come home with some sunset pictures from our travels. Whether it be an over-the-airplane wing photo on an evening flight home from Disneyland, or a white sand beach somewhere warm and wonderful… we always seem to snap a couple photos and then let them sit on our phones (as seen in the photo to the left). Well, no longer.
My intension with this cute Cape Cod layout is to showcase one of our most memorable Beach/Sunset vacations – Our 2014 trip to Costa Rica (as seen at the top of this page).
